We announce the death of Norma Kay Evans of Lubbock, Texas, who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Moss and Aurora Moss (Akers); her former husband Woody Hobbs; her children, Gary Evans and Sandy Hernandez; her brother Tommy; her sister-in-law Drusilla Moss; and her son-in-law Bill Carlisle.
She is survived by: her husband Lyndel Evans of Lubbock; her children, Kay Bailey (Dickie) of Big Spring, Karol Carlisle of Lake Belton, Kim Creel (Chris) of Wolfforth and Clarence Hobbs (Camille) of Edmond, Oklahoma; and her daughter-in-law Janice Evans of Irma. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Combest Family Memorial Chapel (2210 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79401). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Littlefield Memorial Park (1700 W Delano Ave, Littlefield, TX 79339).
