He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennings Bryan Adams and Ruby Lee Langley; and his grandson Brittan Todd Adams Breckel. He is survived by: his wife Susie; his children, Melynda Bateman, Melanie Breckel, Robin Adams and Robert Adams; his children-in-law, Scott Bateman, Kevin Breckel, Alice Jacquez-Adams and Lena Laxton; his grandchildren, KaCee Breckel, Colt Breckel, Chisum Breckel, Lexi Bateman, Kayton Jones, Braydon Jones, Igby Adams and Ian Adams; his great grandchildren, Aidden Torres, L'e Torres, Xander Torres, Jackson Garcia and Jhonen Garica; and his sister Claudie Anderson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Redbud Baptist Church (801 Slide Rd, Lubbock, TX 79416). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
