He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Garrett and Marie Garrett; and his niece Misty DiTomasso. He is survived by: his wife Joy Garrett; his son Shawn Garrett (Jeane'tte Garrett); his granddaughter Jericho Garrett; and his siblings, Gary Garrett (Winona Garrett) and Sandra Riggs (Pete Riggs). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sanders Memorial Chapel (1420 Main St, Lubbock, TX 79401).
