Van Kountz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 13, 2025, at the age of 89, Van Kountz in Lubbock, Texas, born in Pecos, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Van Kountz to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Kountz; his parents, W. C. Kountz and Kathleen Kountz; his brother Chris Kountz; and his sister-in-law Wanda Chapman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Leonard (Russell) and Sandra McCorkle (Russell); his grandchildren, Rhea Lynn Kaufman (Kyle), Ashley K Roche (Matt), Weston Caleb Leonard (Hailey), Ryan George Pease (Jordan), Amy JaVonn Waggoner (Nolan) and Austin James McCorkle; his great grandchildren, Kollins Rhea Kaufman, Kash Buddy Kaufman, Kaden J Roche, Hudson Reed Roche, Coleman Jett Waggoner, Turner Drew Waggoner, Kate Ryan Waggoner, Grayson George Pease, Emerson Blake Pease, Rhys Russell Leonard and Callum Ashe Leonard; his sister-in-law Dorothy Harry; and his pet Keeper.
Together, they built a family and a life full of adventures, including their joint ministry at Wedgewood until circumstances changed due to COVID.
