She was predeceased by: her husband Bert Lefler; her son Burton Jones; her grandchildren, David Davis, Shannon Reynolds and Landon Thomas; her parents, Will Weeks and Lila "Stringer" Weeks; and her siblings, J. E. Weeks, Brooks Weeks, Edna Cooper and Rachel Cramer.
She is survived by: her children, Mittie Ray of Zavalla, Jackie, Dean Wesley of Hudson, Mindy Jones of Lufkin, Delbert (Vicki Jones), Martin (Pam Jones) and Robert (Kay Jones); and her siblings, Joyce Phillips of Huntington, Frances Roach of Breckenridge, Rebecca Alred of Lufkin and Bronson Weeks of Splendora. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Zavalla Cemetery. Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gipson Funeral Home (1515 S Chestnut St, Lufkin, TX 75901).
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Harbor Hospice, 402 S. John Redditt Drive, Suite 203 Lufkin, Texas 75904.
