He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Hartenbach (Muckerman); his sister Peggy Powers; and his parents-in-law, John and Edna Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Hartenbach (Jackson) of Lufkin; his son Christopher; his daughter-in-law Betsy Hartenbach of Fate; his daughter Laura; his son-in-law David Mikeal of Lufkin; his grandsons, Austin Mikeal of Lufkin, Zach Mikeal of Lufkin and Cameron Hartenbach of Fate; and his sisters-in-law, Brenda Hayes of Granite City and Betty Yandell of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
