He was predeceased by: his parents, Easter Virginia (Finley) and William McKinley Holmes; his son-in-law David Charles Clark; and his siblings, Elray Brown, Lester Brown, Charlene Keller, Frances Waymire, Billy Jack Holmes, James Eaph Holmes and Weldon Gene Holmes.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Holmes (Dickerson) of Lufkin; his daughter Gale DeAun Clark (Holmes) of Houston; his grandson Chase Alexander Clark of Houston; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Holmes (Warren) of Lufkin and Claire Holmes (Hunter) of Lufkin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
