He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolyn Marie (Norsworthy) and Claude M. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Diane Smith (Jordan) of Lufkin; his sons, Charles Ray "Chuck" Smith, Jr. of Diboll and Jason D. Smith (Amanda Smith) of Montgomery, Texas; his grandchildren, Hallie (Heath Thompson), Logan (Laurie Smith), Emily Smith, Kylie Smith and Sydney Smith; his great grandchild Saylor Ray Smith; his sister Linda; his brother-in-law Charles Kilgore of Kerrville; and his great-aunt Zelma Smith of Lufkin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
