She was predeceased by: her parents, B. D. Thomas and Lucy Mae Thomas; her husband Henry Sumlin; her brothers, James and Earl Curtis Thomas; and her stepdaughter Marva Sumlin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vivian Crain (Kelvin) of Lufkin, Texas and Barbara Sumlin of Lufkin, Texas; her granddaughters, Brittne Purvis Bell (Brian) of Dallas, Kimberly Brown and Kiesha Brown; her sister Mary Pinkney of Lufkin, Texas; her godchildren, Shelita Kennebrew of Crosby, Larenthia Terrell of Lufkin, Patricia Peacock of Houston, Bridgett Hill of Houston, Lisa Jackson of Lufkin, Thomas Beason of Tyler, Raquel Allen Daniels and Vincent Allen; and her pet Isabelle Purvis Crain. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
