Daniel Wayne Salas Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Wayne Salas (Lufkin, Texas), who passed away on February 22, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Eric Wayne Salas; his parents, Ben Salas and Rose Salas; and his siblings, Armand, Carl, Paul, Mike, Ray Salas, Rosemary Prochaska and Elaine Broll.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Boyd Salas; his daughters, Susan (Kenny Koon) and De'Anna (Kevin Vincent); his daughter-in-law Kim Dias Salas; his grandchildren, Amber Koon Miller (Bo Miller), Brandi Salas Wilbur (Dana Wilbur), Chandler Bland, Taylor Bland, Alyson Champion, Jesse Buckley and Channing Rankin; his great grandchildren, Ryder Salas, Arden Miller, Slayton Salas, Peyton Cannon, Myles Champion, Victoria Rankin and Charles Rankin; and his sister Sandra Stavinoha. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to St. Cyprian's School in Dr. Salas' memory.
