With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elvira Ramos of Lufkin, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 28, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emilio Zapata and Maria Rodriguez. She is survived by: her husband Juan Ramos of Lufkin; her children, Elvira Ramos of Jacksonville, Texas, Juan Ramos of Diboll and Ruben; her daughter-in-law Brenda Ramos of Lufkin; and her grandchildren, Junior (Adriana Guillen) of Jacksonville, Juan (Adaline Guillen) of Jacksonville, Acero Ramos of Lufkin, Diamante Ramos of Lufkin, Breeyo Ramos of Lufkin, Esmeralda Ramos of Lufkin and Ana (Jesse Solis) of Lufkin.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shafer Funeral Home (600 N John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904-0353). A rosary was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (100 Maynard, Diboll, TX 75941).
