She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robertus "Bert" Haygood (Martha Elizabeth Worthy Haygood) and Martha Elizabeth Worthy Haygood; and her siblings, Drunell Young and Ray Haygood. She is survived by: her husband Charles R. Read; her daughters, Charla Read-Richardson and Lori Ann Read-Feldpausch; her grandchildren, Charles Ryan Richardson, Ross, Shae Richardson, Johnathan, Kelsey Feldpausch and Brandon Feldpausch; her great grandchildren, Cody Richardson, Clayton Richardson, Kutter Richardson, Baylin Feldpausch, Brigham Feldpausch and Frankie Brooke Feldpausch; her friends, Mary Lynn Neal, Darceille Warren and Faye Nell Holland; her nephew Raymond Havard; her close friends, Kearney Harris and Natanya Whitaker; her in-laws, Perry Read and Dora Morgan Read; and her siblings, Stella Havard, Flois Hampton, Mildred Williamson, Riley Haygood and Roy Haygood. She is also survived by nurses, caretakers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
