With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Wade Moore of Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on January 13, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lee Moore and Julia Emogene Moore (Worley); and his siblings, Bobby Moore, Jack Moore and Monte McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Moore of Lufkin; his children, Wade Moore (Jeanne) of Lufkin and Nicki Krueger (Dwayne) of Hutto, Texas; his grandchildren, Trey Moore (Jamie), Blake Moore (Shelby), Grant Goury, Deuce Krueger and Chelsey Walters (Drew); his great grandchildren, Mia Harper, Braidin Moore, Waylon Walters, Tate Moore and Ashtyn Moore; his sister Shirley Shipp (Thomas) of Conroe, Texas; and his mother-in-law Gloria "Molly" Colbert.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Red Cross, Southeast and Deep East Texas Chapter, 3901 IH 10 East, Orange, Texas 77630, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
