She was predeceased by: her parents, George Robert Hackney and Jethro Mae Bass Hackney; and her siblings, Ella Marie Thacker, Bealuh Hackney, Mathis Earl Hackney, Rockland Denorris Hackney and Kelvin Don Hackney.

She is survived by: her children, George Hackney of Lufkin, Yolanda Davis (Paul) of Lufkin and Shamekia Hackney of Lufkin; her siblings, Robert Hackney of Alto, Larry Hackney of Alto and Vanessa Hackney of Lufkin; and her grandchildren, Tyrek Hackney, Jharell Hackney, ShVara Hackney and Jaylen Hackney.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Service, Inc. (649 San Antonio Rd, Alto, TX 75925). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the River Church (595 S Marcus St, Alto, TX 75925). A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the New Hope Cemetery.
