With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hector Cortez of Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on February 14, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Hector F. Cortez; and his siblings, Ricardo Cortez and Rosario Alvarez. He is survived by: his wife Maria C. Cortez of Diboll; his daughters, Ana L. Lopez (Lucas) of Nacogdoches, Sandra Vasquez of Lufkin and Deyanira Cortez of Diboll; his mother Francisca Cortez; and his siblings, Elva Sanchez, Sylvia (Pedro Buenrostro), Eduardo (Rosa Cortez) and Alda (Nicolas Rivera). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
