It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen McCarty (Lufkin, Texas), who passed away on November 3, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen McCarty to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Arnold Collmorgen and Annie Collmorgen (Askins); her husband John A. McCarty; her sister Jane; her brother-in-law Walter Yates; and her brother Bill.
She is survived by: her sons, Frank, Deniece McCarty of Lufkin, Jim and Shasta McCarty of Huntington; her grandchildren, Sara White (Quentin) of Lufkin, Cali Hollers (Brian) of Lufkin and Darian Womack of Nacogdoches; her great grandchildren, Landry White, Everli Hollers and Easton Womack; and her sister-in-law Dorris Collmorgen.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice in the Pines and to the nurses in the Alzheimer's unit at Southland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
