He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie Dee (Jones) and Lewis Edward Gray; his brothers, Charles Gray and Fred Gray; and his grandson Evan Gray.

He is survived by: his son Eddie; his wife Joyce Dean Gray of Lufkin; his daughter-in-law Kristen Gray of Carrollton; his grandchildren, Joel Gray (Courtney) of Spring and Mari Gray of Houston; his great grandchild Benjamin Gray of Spring; and his brother Weldon Gray of Gary. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
