He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Vera (Bobo) and James Walter Thomas, Sr.; his wife Nannie Sue Thomas (Futch); and his grandson Cody Joswiak. He is survived by: his children, Mike (Leta Thomas), Pat (Susan Thomas) and Jana; his son-in-law Dewayne Lambert of Bryan; and his grandchildren, Isiah Thomas, Sarah Wise, Britt Thomas, Travis Thomas and Kyle Joswiak. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews.
