He is survived by: his parents, Javier Alaniz and Alicia Alaniz (Lujan) of Lufkin; his sons, Mauro Sanchez of Springdale, AR, Melvin Alaniz of Lufkin, Leonardo Alaniz of Lufkin and Emmanuel Alaniz of Lufkin; his brother Jesus; his sister-in-law Mary Alaniz of Lufkin; his sister Perla Alaniz of Lufkin; his goddaughter Paola Garcia; his nieces and nephews, Alycia Alaniz, Viviana Alaniz, Jesus Alaniz, Javier Alaniz and Alondra Alaniz; and his girlfriend Dora Garcia.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shafer Funeral Home (600 N John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904-0353). A rosary was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (2118 Lowry St, Lufkin, TX 75901).
