It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Slate (Lufkin, Texas), born in Cleveland, Texas, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Pierce and Myrtle Pierce; her husbands, Harry Dee Slate and Larry Odel Allen; her siblings, Billy Pierce, Russell Pierce and Brenda Allen; her brother-in-law E. J. Petterson; and her son-in-law George "Andy" Allen.
She is survived by: her daughter Thresa Allen; her granddaughter Amber (Jamie Campbell); and her great grandchildren, Jessie, Ruth, Jaydin and Jaxxon Campbell.
