He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Brittain (Jones) and Otto Brittain; and his siblings, Ruth Brittain Dixon (Poskey), Louise Brittain Lindsey (Billy), Joyce Brittain Hooser (Tom), Patricia Brittain Brown (Joe) and Otto Jordan Brittain (Zaidee).
He is survived by: his wife Dixie Bell Brittain of Hudson; his daughter Ruth Brittain Chinn (Ted) of Mesquite; his granddaughters, Elaine Brittain Chinn, Laura Katherine Chinn and Hannah Grace Chinn; his sister Betty Lou Brittain Jumper (Bob) of Hudson; and his caregivers, Elton Arnold, Courtney Mosby, Zenobia Horn, Gwen Thompson and Crystal Arnold. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great nephews.
