He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby King (Jones); and his siblings, Carl Joe King, Carlos King, Bernice (Roy Leamon) and Ronnie (Faye King).

He is survived by: his father Joe King; his wife Sandra King; his children, Amanda Smith (David), Cody Spears and Lacey Spears; his grandchildren, Devon Smith (Madison) of Lufkin, TX, Martin Smith of Lufkin, TX and Henry Smith of Lufkin, TX; his siblings, Garry King (Shirley) and Vicky Wright; and his sisters-in-law, Veronica King and Peggy King. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
