Leon Morris Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leon Morris of Lufkin, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on May 15, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Ruthie Lorene (Robertson); and his brothers, Linwood Morris, Charles Morris and Geary Morris. He is survived by: his wife Betty Morris (Bruce) of Lufkin; his daughters, Tracie (Terry Elliott), Brenda (Mark Lowery) and Deidra "Dee Dee" (Tim Davis); his grandchildren, Alan (Marca Thigpen), Susan (Bradley Taylor), John Mark (Shelby Lowery), Clarke (Bailee Lowery), Taylor (Taylor Featherston), Timothy Davis, Erica (James Lee) and Marissa Davis (Cortland McPherson); his great grandchildren, Tripp, Hank Thigpen, Sawyer, Sutton Thigpen, Connor, Morgan Taylor, Elise Lowery, Halie, Harlie Edwards, Case and Anniston Lee; and his siblings, Gene Morris of Tomball, Hubert "Hoody" Morris, Bobbie (James Vail), Alton (Barbara Morris), Helen (Garland Baker), Bruce Morris of Beaumont and Carol Ann Morris of Austin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
