She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommy Dixon and Molly Dixon (Ray); her husband Marion Fulton Ferguson; her daughters, Linda Ferguson and Shirley Diane Pool; and her siblings, Albert "Buddy" Dixon and Evalene Keels.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Vest of Lufkin and Jerry G.; her daughter-in-law Telisa Ferguson of Huntington; her children, Brenda Drouet of Dayton, Texas and Marion James; her daughter-in-law Midge Ferguson of Lufkin; her son Jeffery Ferguson of Lufkin; and her son-in-law Roger W. Pool. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shafer Funeral Home (600 N John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904-0353). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Cochran Cemetery (1301 Rhodes St, Huntington, TX 75949).
