We announce the death of Norma Jean Pearson of Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 99. Norma will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fleeta Leona (Lowry) and Fred Hunter; her husband Joe Pearson; her stepfather Franklin Bickford; her children-in-law, Dan Brent and Jodi Pearson; her sister Marilyn; and her nephew Kenneth May.

She is survived by: her children, Jody Pearson of Lufkin, W. J. (Emma Gourley) and Gayle Brent of Lufkin. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
