He is survived by: his wife Emerchel Collins Pate of Lufkin; his children, Laura Pate Whitworth (Johnny) of Spring, Amy Pate Moss (Craig) of Cypress and Thomas Collins Pate (Stephanie Felts Pate) of Baytown; his grandchildren, Holly Whitworth Todd, Joshua Whitworth, Sam Whitworth, Mary Katherine Whitworth Medlin (Price), Michael Moss (Alexandra) and David Moss; his great grandchildren, Anna Claire Todd, Jansen Todd, John Todd, Macy Whitworth and William Medlin; and his sisters, Jenny Buller of Cypress, Mary Pate of Barnes and Cathy David of Barnes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
