He was predeceased by: his mother Lidia Cantu, (Reyna); and his wife Candace Cantu (Hudspeth). He is survived by: his father Erly Gomez Cantu, Sr.; his siblings, Erly, Jr. (Melissa Cantu), Paul (Anna Nicole Rodriguez), Cindy "Tiggy" Cantu and Alicia Cantu; his daughter Brittany; his son-in-law Patrick Redmond; his son Colton Dewberry; and his grandchildren, Brileigh Redmond, Chevi Redmond, Legend Redmond, Gunner Dewberry, Garrett Dewberry and Gatlin Dewberry.
