With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stephen Schlein of Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on December 9, 2025 at the age of 61. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ann Schlein (Kemp) and Elmer Louis Schlein; his in-laws, Harold and Ora Nell Jones; his brothers-in-law, Pat Stubblefield and Harold Jones, Jr.; and his stepbrother Kirk Schlein.
He is survived by: his pets, Freddy Boy, Willy, Layla, Sonny Boy, Bluboy and Danny Boy; his wife Beverly Schlein; his children, Patrick Schlein (Yvonne Munoz) and Alexandra Schlein (Ross Baer); his brother Grayden Schlein; and his stepsiblings, Benalu Schlein, Tony Schlein and Elizabeth Schlein. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
