He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Elizabeth (McCommas) and Jim J. Cummings; his wife Glenda Cummings (Cloyd) of Lufkin; and his siblings-in-law, Gail Cummings and Larry Cloyd.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy; his son-in-law Kent Oates of Kingwood; his son Richard; his daughter-in-law Sharon Cummings of Plano; his grandchildren, Nicholas Cummings (Natalie), Chase Buesing (Kaytlin), Mark Garner (Jacob Oates) and Jason Swan (Sarah Swan); his great grandchildren, Grayson Garner and Lillian Garner; his brother Julian Lynn Cummings of Lufkin; and his brother-in-law Michael Cloyd of Lufkin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
