He was predeceased by: his parents, Elva Evelyn Moore Ward and James Hesterly Ward; and his brother James Ward. He is survived by: his wife Gerry Lynn Ward (Sullivan); his children, David Ward (Rebecca) of Russellville, Arkansas and Lynn Ward Hamel (Scot) of Lufkin, Texas; his grandchildren, Ashley Hamel, Casey Freeman (James), Caleb Ward (Ella Claire), Ryan Hamel (Savannah), Jacob Hamel (Alexandria) and Grace Hamel; his great grandchildren, Alex Freeman, Rosie Freeman and Oaklee Hamel; and his brother Ritchie Ward (Connie) of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
