He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Frances Thompson; daughters: Sheryl Thomas, Angela Delk, Jacqueline Thompson, LaTasha Thompson, Addie Thompson-Sells; son: Neal Thompson, Jr; stepsons: Benjamin Baker and James Baker, Joshua Baker; sister: Mattie Eva Jones; brothers: Willie Thompson, Robert Thompson, Sam (Louis) Thompson, Daniel Thompson, William Thompson, Ernest Thomas; sisters: Perry Lee Nuels, Larine Bullock, Freddie Thompson, Mae Bell White, Alonia Johnson, Burnie Lee Brothers, Annie B Evelyn, Adelene Thompson, Eva Mae Thompson, and Frances Thompson; parents: Sam Thompson and Addie Mae Queen Thompson; sister-in-law: Claudia Thompson; and 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, and innumerable cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Church of Christ. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens (4310 E Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042).
