He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Smith Burroughs and Willie Clyed Burroughs; and his siblings, Eugene Burrows, Bill Burrows, Bobby Burroughs, Betty Jo Burrows and Louise Burrows.

He is survived by: his wife Maida Burroughs; his children, Shanna Osborne (Ralph) of Lumberton, Rachael Bridges (Mark) of Denham Springs, Louisiana and John Palermo of Beaumont; his siblings, Judy Delarosa (Ruben) of Baycliff, Mike Burroughs (Martha) of Buna and Clyde Daniel Burroughs of Beaumont; and his grandchildren, Kassi Keith, Brittani Riley, Kaitlin Keith, Luke Bridges and Seth Bridges. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
