Steve Nelson Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Steve Nelson of Lumberton, Texas is shared. Steve, born on January 5, 1964, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lou Littlejohn Nelson and Taz A. Nelson; and his in-laws, Dr. Rudy and Martha Allred. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Nelson; his children, Taz Nelson (Victoria Hagood) of Silsbee, Luke Nelson (Taylor) of Beaumont and Emily Nicotre (Troy) of Lumberton; his sister Terri Bailey (Lee) of Calvert City, Kentucky; his grandchildren, William Taz Nelson and Mindy Nicotre; and his nephews, Joshua Bailey (Cindy) of Louisville and Jonathan Bailey (Jamie) of Benton, Kentucky. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Broussard's (1605 N Major Dr, Beaumont, TX 77706). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Westgate Memorial Baptist Church (6220 Westgate Dr, Beaumont, TX 77706). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery (4596 Bogue Chitto Rd, McCall Creek, MS 39647).
