He was predeceased by: his former wife Rebecca Diane; and his parents, Elnora J Windham Miles and Robert Earl Miles. He is survived by: his siblings, Danny Miles and Beverly Miles Taylor; his children, Sheri Miles Ordner and Randy Miles II (Bud); and his grandsons, Wesley Earl Miles, Daniel Earl Ordner and Nolan Eric Miles.

The family has asked that memorial donations be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
