He was predeceased by: his wife Jackie Hightower; his parents, George Eubank Hightower and Celestine Hornbuckle; and his brother Ira Lee Hornbuckle. He is survived by: his children, Tarsha Hightower and George M. Hightower; and his siblings, Michael Hornbuckle (Vickie), Anthony Hornbuckle (Barbara), Linda Hightower Bell (Wayne), Sylvia Paul and Vera Harvey. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
