He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Amie and Peggy Denis (Fields); and his father-in-law Gary Chandler. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Denis (Chandler); his daughter Brianna Denis (Dean Swiney) of Trinidad; his granddaughter Violet Renae Shough; his brother Greg (Suzanne Price); his brothers-in-law, Tyson Chandler (Misty) of Corsicana and Dustin Chandler (Stephanie) of Corsicana; his mothers-in-law, Suzanne Tidmore of Malakoff and Becky Chandler of Corsicana; Alexis, Ethen and Candace Denis Carter (Cole Carter) of Birmingham, Alabama. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his granddaughter Violet Shough's College Fund at the First State Bank of Malakoff.
