He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Lee and Christine Perkins; his former wife Johnnetta Perkins; and his brothers, Curtis, Willie Lee and Clyde Perkins.
He is survived by: his wife Frances J. Perkins; his children, Wesley T. Perkins of Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Britine L. Perkins (Walter) of Cypress and Genise Perkins Thomas (Patrick) of Mansfield, Texas; his grandchildren, Austin R. Burton, Jalen Simon, Avery Wren, Patrick C. Thomas, Ian Perkins, Kylie Perkins and Nina Johnnetta Simon; his sisters, Margaret Perkins Howard of Washington, DC and Alfreida Perkins Black of Florence; and his caregiver Elizabeth Shodipo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and his many friends.
