She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth L. Powers and Richard L. Powers; her husband Charles W. Hayles; her stepdaughter Donna G. Elliott; her sisters, Shirley J. Rich and Mary Lou McClanahan; and her nieces, Beth McClanahan, Belinda Kitchens and Michelle Hampton.
She is survived by: her daughter Melinda J. Borah (Joella); and her stepdaughter Karen Goins (Jerry). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
