He is survived by : his siblings, Burl, Dorothy and Mary (Tootsie); his wife Betty Mercer; his children, Debbie Opperman (Richard) and Glenn Watson (Lissa); his grandchildren, Lacey Warren, Rocky, Ethan Watson and Stacey; his great grandchildren, Jeremy Warren Jr., Lily Warren and Luke Watson; his sister-in-law Peggy Watson; and his friend Lonnie Hanshew.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blessing Colonial Chapel (401 Elm St, Mansfield, TX 76063). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Pleasant Point Cemetery (9720 County Rd 608A, Alvarado, TX 76009).
