With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melba Fern Rich (Mansfield, Texas), who passed away on October 1, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Melba departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Melba. Though Melba may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Garvin Lee Whitt and Wynola May Whitt; and her siblings, Shirley Ann Carroll, Jimmy Lee Whitt, Robert Lee Whitt, Ernest Lee Whit and Jessie Charles Whitt.
She is survived by: her children, Clifford Wayne Whitt and Stacey Louise Whiddon; and her sisters, Ruby Pearl Miller and Patricia Ann Cruise. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Skyvue Funeral Home (7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd, Mansfield, TX 76063).
