He is survived by : his wife Peggy Byrd; his son Jason (Dena Byrd); his grandchildren, Coby, Haven Byrd, Lacy and Mason Hughes; his great grandchild Madelyn; his nieces and nephews, Staci, Holley, Lucy, Karen Ann, Ashlea, Rodney, Cody and Briley; and his friends, Donna Shepherd, Gary Brownlow, Bill Johnston and Jerry Terry.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Skyvue Funeral Home (7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd, Mansfield, TX 76063).
