She was predeceased by: her significant other Jerry Hering; her daughter Kristie Hering; and her sister Janis LaRose. She is survived by: her son Kenneth Hering (Cara); her grandsons, Matthew Hering (Alex) and Luke Hering (Katie); and her great grandchildren, Jane, Nathan, Michael, Theodore and Charlie.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Waco Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund in Maureen's honor.
