He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lucille (Coker) and Alvin Phillip Meckel; his brother Allen Ray Meckel; and his parents-in-law, Leonie (Albrecht) and Benno Adolph Haecker, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Elaine "Cookie" Haecker Meckel; his children, Tabby McHardy (Robert) and Troy Meckel; his granddaughters, Skylar McHardy and Winter Monilaw (Joshua); and his sisters-in-law, Myrna Meckel, Ruby Golla, Carolyn Cohu and Debi Haecker.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Redeemer Church (7415 Gin Rd, Marion, TX 78124). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
