He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugen Scheel and Elenora Scheel; and his siblings, Charlie Scheel, Margaret Stapper (Ralph), Rose Korpi and Agnes Williams (Gary).
He is survived by: his siblings, Frank Scheel (Joyce), Leona Davenport and Carolyn Stoll (John); and his siblings-in-law, Gerri Scheel and Wayne Korpi. He is also survived by nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schertz Funeral Home & Crematory (2217 FM3009, Schertz, TX 78154). A rosary was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (212 N Barnett St, Marion, TX 78124). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery (3598 Gin Rd, Seguin, TX 78155).
