He was predeceased by: his parents, Travis Homeyer and Gladys Homeyer (Moody); and his siblings, Edward, Ernest, Albert, Gertrude and Bernice Alford.

He is survived by: his son Russell Wayne Homeyer of Waco; his siblings, Donald of Teague, Doug (Nora) of Robinson, Ray (Kim) of Abilene, Billy Jack of Calvert and Brenda Dollery of Calvert; and his brother-in-law Thomas Alford of Livingston. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews, and great-nieces, and great-nephews.
