She was predeceased by : her parents, Claude Kilgore and Emma Kilgore (Swanner); her husband Johnny Ward; her son James Strickland; her siblings, Ralph Kilgore, William Kilgore, Evelyn Kilgore, Claud Kilgore and Clyde Kilgore; and her grandchildren, Jason Smith and Rachel Strickland.

She is survived by : her siblings, Donald Kilgore, Mary Ann Douglas and Dorothy Ann McElhany; and her children, Roy Smith Sr., Lisa Rhodes, Brenda Wellbrock and William Wellbrock. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
