He was predeceased by: his parents, Houston "Bruce" Jarrell and Eva Eloise Reviere Jarrell; and his sister Eloise Darnell Maturin. He is survived by: his wife Debra "Debbie" Caston Jarrell; his daughters, Jessikah Leah Jarrell Simon (Ryan) and Leslie Danielle Jarrell; his stepchildren, Nathan Marshall Blocker (Jill Daniels) and Shannon Reneé Blocker Ellen; his sister Deanna Jarrell Polotzola (Carroll Snyder); his grandchildren, Jennifer Simon Thibault (Gabriel), Haley Simon, Julia Simon, Adam Simon, Houston Jarrell, Marleigh Jarrell, Brees Gavin, Callie Gavin, Cade Gavin, Anna Daniel, Olivia Lewis, Tyler Browning, Peyton Blocker, Talan Blocker, Bryce Holton of Timothy, Ellen and Brooklyn Warren; and the mother of his children Rebecca Pinell Parfait. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the First United Pentecostal Church (1437 Judson Walsh Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First United Pentecostal Church of Opelousas (1437 Judson Walsh Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570). A burial will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Pentecostal Church Cemetery - Melville (1437 Judson Walsh Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570).
