She was predeceased by : her parents, Jimmie Rodgers and Precious Rodgers; her husband Ernest Moore, Jr.; and her daughter Alice Newman. She is survived by : her daughters, Betty Martin (Herb), Wanda Wilborn (Eugene), Sandra Brazile and Gwen Bartlett (David); her adoptive daughter Violet White; her grandchildren, Terry Newman (Lolita), Art Sherrod, Jr. (Georgia), Marcus Wilborn (Shawn), Daren Wilborn, Calandra Brazile and LaQuita Brazile; her great grandchildren, Tivon Newman, London Newman, Destiny Wilborn, Jaden Wilborn, Ava Sherrod and Brandon Sherrod; and her great great grandchild Kyrie Walker. She is also survived by other relatives as well as extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 500 Park School Street, Marshall, Texas 75670. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church (1300 Billups St, Marshall, TX 75670).
