David Carter Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Carter of Marshall, Texas, who passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Baker and Osie Lucille Carter (Smith); his sister Linda Jo Woodley; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Woodley, Mike Elliott and Dave Nace.

He is survived by: his wife Cathy Marie Wood; his children, Christina "Christy" Heiden (Brad) and Chad Carter (Ashley); his grandchildren, Bayli Heiden, Mason Heiden, Gwyn "Gigi" Heiden, Kaya Matulewski-Carter and Eva Matulewski-Carter; and his siblings, Don Roy Carter (Betty Nash), Jerry Carter (Jan), Cathy Lou Carter (William) and Vicky Elliott. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
