He was predeceased by: his father Herbert "Tom" Beatty, Jr. of Marshall, TX; his stepfather William "Bill" Worsham of Frisco, TX; and his grandson Michael Wilfong of Woodstock, GA. He is survived by: his son James "Sandy" Beatty, Jr. (Joanne (Bossier City); his grandchildren, Cameron Beatty of Bossier City, LA and Jennifer Totten (Tyler (Kennesaw); his siblings, Cheryl Sandifer (John (Shreveport), Debbie Jo Holland (Terry (Carthage), Mark Worsham (Carla (Austin), Todd Beatty of Marshall, TX and D'Nan Dean (John (Dripping Springs); and his stepmother Dymple Beatty of Marshall, TX. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to lung cancer and vascular disease research programs.
